I’m here to tell you that they were as delicious as I imagined they would be (I tried every flavor, just to be sure) and a few OREO Thins with some ice cream and Chocolate Mint Sauce are my favorite new way to reward myself after the kids have gone to bed.

My husband helped me taste test, and I think he liked them even more than I did. And they come in some of your favorite OREO flavors, like original, mint and golden.
Of course, you don’t need ice cream or chocolate sauce to enjoy OREO Thins. But I had some homemade Chocolate Mint Sauce in the refrigerator, so I couldn’t resist the combination.
Even before I scooped my ice cream, I was dipping my mint OREO Thins in the sauce.
This Chocolate Mint Sauce is so simple, and along with some OREO Thins, it’s the perfect little adult indulgence after a stressful day.
But like I said, these OREO Thins are the perfect treat on their own. And I’m a firm believer that you’re never too old for some OREOs and a cold glass of milk.

Here’s what you’ll need to make Chocolate Mint Sauce
- Corn syrup
- Creme de menthe or mint candy flavoring
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 12 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)
- 1 teaspoon creme de menthe or mint candy flavoring
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, water and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and whisk in chocolate until completely melted and smooth. Stir in creme de menthe flavoring.
- Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Warm in microwave before serving.
