Loaded House Salad

Just like a house salad from your favorite restaurant, this salad is full of delicious ingredients like tomatoes, cheese, nuts, bacon and croutons. The perfect accompaniment to any meal!

Ingredients

For the dressing

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

For the salad

  • 2 heads Romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2/3 cup toasted slivered almonds
  • 8 strips bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1 cup croutons coarsely crushed

Instructions

  • In a small bowl or glass measuring cup, whisk together ingredients for dressing. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • I a large bowl, toss the ingredients for the salad together until well-mixed. When ready to serve add desired amount of dressing and toss again to coat well.
