Grilled Beef Souvlaki

This simple but delicious meal feature grilled, marinated beef chunks wrapped in warm pita or naan bread, and topped with tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds steak cut into large cubes
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Greek seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For serving

Instructions

  • In a large zip-top bag, combine the steak, olive oil, garlic, Greek seasoning, salt and pepper, and lemon juice. Seal tightly and marinate for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high. Thread the steak onto skewers and discard the marinade. Grill for about 10 minutes, turning once or twice during cooking.
  • Remove beef from skewers and serve in bread with tzatziki sauce, cucumbers and tomatoes.
