Make Ahead Streusel
This tasty streusel topping can be mixed then frozen, so you'll always have it handy to finish off muffins, quick breads and other baked goods.

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Drizzle the melted butter over the flour/sugar mixture and mix with a fork to form coarse crumbs.
Spread the streusel on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze until firm. Remove from freezer and place in small zip-top bags or freezer containers.
Generously pile streusel on muffins, cakes or quick breads before baking.
