Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Orzo pasta combines with butter, garlic and Parmesan cheese in this quick and easy side dish the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook orzo according to package directions until just tender, about 10 minutes; drain.
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 3-5 minutes. Stir cooked orzo into butter.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Gradually add milk, if needed, to reach desired consistency. Stir in parsley and salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.
