Chocolate Gravy with Biscuits

This sweet twist on biscuits and gravy makes a wonderful indulgent breakfast or simple dessert, served with fresh berries and your favorite biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Your favorite biscuits
  • Fresh berries

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together cocoa, flour, sugar and salt until no lumps remain. Whisk in the milk until well incorporated.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixtures thickens and has a consistency similar to gravy, 7-10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
  • Serve immediately over your favorite biscuits with fresh berries.
