Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

Bite sized pieces of cauliflower are baked in a spicy batter, then tossed in Buffalo wing sauce and butter in this tasty twist on classic hot wings.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower about 4 cups florets
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 to 1 cup hot sauce or Buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line baking sheets with foil and spray generously withe non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cut cauliflower into bite size pieces. In a medium bowl, mix the water, milk, flour, spices and salt and pepper.
  • Dip each pieces of cauliflower in the batter, shaking off any excess. Place in an even layer on prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden brown. Meanwhile, prepare sauce by combining hot sauce and butter in a large bowl; set aside.
  • Remove cauliflower from oven and toss in hot sauce mixture to coat well. Return to baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cauliflower reaches desired crispness. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

I use Frank's Red Hot Sauce in this recipe.
