Classic Italian Meatballs

Ricotta cheese is the secret to these moist, tender meatballs. Serve over pasta with your favorite marinara sauce for a meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  • Cover a large baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, bread crumbs, ricotta, egg, parsley, garlic and seasonings. Mix well. Shape mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake meatballs for 15-20 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Serve with pasta and your favorite marinara sauce.
