Pantry Blondies
These moist, chewy "blond brownies" are studded with chocolate chips, and made with ingredients you probably have on hand. It only takes about five minutes to whip up a batch, which makes these bars perfect for last minute party invites or late night sweet cravings.

- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat; remove from heat. Alternately, butter can be melted in a microwaveable bowl.
Stir brown sugar into melted butter until it is dissolved. Quickly whisk in the egg and vanilla.
Stir in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
