Classic Fry Sauce

I’ve been dipping my fries in fry sauce for as long as I can remember, and this Classic Fry Sauce recipe has never let me down!

If you’ve never tried fry sauce, all I can say is “What are you waiting for?” Although it’s traditionally a condiment served in western states, it’s pretty popular all over the country these days.

In fact, you can even purchase pre-made fry sauce in the condiment aisle at the grocery store these days. But it’s so quick and easy to make at home, and chances are you always have most of the ingredients on hand.

And if you don’t, that’s okay. The only two ingredients you must have are ketchup and mayo.

Classic Fry Sauce

I’m pretty sure it was my dad who first showed my how to make a simple fry sauce by mixing up mayonnaise and ketchup, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Now that I’m older and my tastes are more refined (haha!) I’ve developed this slightly improved version of this dipping sauce by adding some spiced and dill pickle juice.

But I still revert to the plain old ketchup and mayo version of my childhood often.

There are several fast-food restaurant chains that offer fry sauce, and some even serve a spicy version. If you’d like to try that, just add a pinch–or more if you like it really spicy–the the recipe.

I still get cravings for this Classic Fry Sauce, and will often make myself some French fries just so I can enjoy this sauce. I hope you love it as much as I do!
