Chocolate mousse doesn’t need to be difficult to make to be delicious. This simple chocolate mousse recipe turns out perfectly every time!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
I’ve tried so many recipes for chocolate mousse over the years, but this Easy Chocolate Mousse is the one I keep coming back to. It’s quick, easy, has great texture and flavor, and it never fails me.
This is the kind of dessert that will impress your friends and family, with very little effort on your part. Sure, it’s kind of a cheater recipe for mousse, but no one needs to know.
It might seem a little unconventional, with marshmallows on the ingredient list, but trust me, it always turns out fabulous!
I like to use semi-sweet chocolate chips in my mousse, but any chopped chocolate or chocolate chips should work–milk, dark, or anything in between.

I can get 12 mini desserts from this recipe, with a bit to spare, so it should make 6-8 very generous servings. You should be fine making half if you’re serving 6 or less.
I like it best served with whipped cream, but it’s also delicious with fresh berries, or some chocolate shavings, and it makes a great pie filling too!
It’s fancy enough for holidays too. For Valentine’s Day I always top it with a little chocolate heart. This is my favorite kind of dessert–easy but elegant.
If you’ve tried making chocolate mousse without success in the past, give this Easy Chocolate Mousse. This recipe hasn’t failed me yet!

Tried it lat night for my cousin’s birthday dinner. It really was easy, unlike other recipes for mousse that I have tried that claimed to be simple. I had limitied time, read this recipe and was able to whip it up last minute and by the time we finished apps, dinner and cocktails it was perfeclty firm and delicous. I am not a huge fan of marshmallows and the ingredient list, but for an occasional treat it was worth it. I would not change a thing! Thanks so much for a great recipe.

Thank you so much Nicole! 🙂

How much is a cup of milk or cream in mls, also a cup of marshmallows in grammes. Please !

I don’t know those conversions off the top of my head. I would try using Google to search for the recipe measurement conversions you need.

I really enjoyed making this lucious mousse! Your recipe was my plan B as my first attempt of another recipe was an epic fail. I’m so glad that my first recipe failed! This ia definitely a keeper. I used the mousse to fill a four layer chocolate cake. My cake is chilling but I can’t wait to try it with my chocolate buttercream. Thanks for sharing!

My cake was perfect with the mousse filling! Will definitely be making again.

I want to make chocolate chip cookie cups with mousse filling for my son’s 6th birthday party. How many servings does this recipe make? And, approximately, how large are those servings? I would need 20 servings.
Danelle
The number of servings really depends on the size of the serving. This makes about 10-12 servings of the size you see pictured. So if your cookie cups were about the same size (about 1/3 cup) you’d get about that many servings. If you were making a cookie cup the size of a mini muffin tin, I think this recipe would make plenty for 20 servings that size.

Excellent. I was planning on using regular muffin tin sizes (replacement for the cake, not in addition to), so I think I will need a double-batch. Yay! Thank you!
