Review: The Nutri Ninja I Ninja Blender DUO With Auto-iQ

    October 31, 2014 by Danelle

We drink a lot of smoothies around here. Especially for breakfast. They’re quick and easy and I can fill them with nutrients and protein to make sure my kids get a good start to the day. And when it comes to making smoothies, we love the The Nutri Ninja® | Ninja Blender DUO With Auto-iQ™.

    IMG_1216_filteredWB

Ninja Auto-iQ blenders come with pre-programmed settings with unique blending patterns that make it easy to blend just about anything. We use a lot of frozen fruit in our smoothies and the Ninja blender handles it with ease. Same with ice–no problem at all! Our favorite way to make smoothies is to use the large blending cup and the Nutri-Ninja Ultra Blend Setting. Even when we add things like spinach and kale, our smoothies come out smooth and delicious–my kids hardly even notice the leafy greens in their drink.

With five of us, I love having the option of using the 72 ounce blender pitcher. There aren’t many blending pitchers out there that have the capacity to make smoothies for my entire family, so it’s a great feature–assuming we all want the same kind of smoothie, of course!

    Ninja-Collage

My Ninja Auto-iQ blender came with a blending pitcher and two sizes of blending cups, so even if we want something different, we can still whip up a variety of smoothies without a lot of hassle. And the containers, lids and blades are all dishwasher safe (a must in my opinion) and BPA-free. The Nutri Ninja | Ninja Blender DUO With Auto-iQ has 5 Auto-iQ programs and 3 manual settings, which pretty much covers all of my blending needs.

I’ve also use my Ninja to puree soups and to chop fresh fruit and nuts for my holiday baking. It only took 2 quick pulses to chop pistachios–so much faster than I could have done it by hand! I’m sure the 1500 watt motor has something to do with that. I also love that there’s a cord wrap at the back of the blender. It seems like a little thing, but it’s so easy for my appliance cupboard to become a jumble of cords, so I really appreciate that kind of attention to detail.

And of course, as a mom to three boys, I have to mention the fact that anything with the name Ninja is automatically cool, even a blender. In fact, my 10 year-old wakes up excited every morning to watch the Ninja blend up his breakfast! Considering he’s not usually too excited about breakfast, that’s really saying something.

With the The Nutri Ninja | Ninja Blender DUO With Auto-iQ we’ve all been having smoothies more often, which is a good thing. We’ve even tried new things since getting our Ninja, like adding chia seeds and veggies to our smoothies. That’s not something my kids would have ever agreed to before. Of course, I think it helps that I can tell them a Ninja made it!

I’ve got this beauty sitting on my counter too and it is the PERFECT smoothie maker!! Love the easy clean up too. And last night it whipped together a fabulous pesto. Tomorrow?? We’re trying Hummus!!! Beautiful pictures Danelle.

Thanks for posting this great review. We are looking at purchasing this product here very soon. Our household is wanting to get on a healthy start next year. I figured this would be the product to do that with.

I’m currently watching the nutri ninja/ninja blender duo infomercial. This is the1500 watt one. I would like to know if it makes soups/hot soups? I am not finding this info and would be a deal breaker if it did not have this feature. I am comparing to Dr. Ian Smith’s Shred Emulsifier. Same wattage, and makes hot soups but only comes with the full size blender. Thanks.

It does not make hot soup. You can make soup with it and just simply put it in the microwave and heat it up.
