Why You’ll Love This Recipe
School is back in session, which means it’s time to start whipping up awesome after school snacks like these Favorite Monster Cookies!
My friend Sarah shared this recipe on Facebook awhile back, claiming they were her favorite cookies. Sarah is an amazing baker. She even has her own baking business and makes the most adorable cupcakes and sweet treats. So you know I had to try her favorite cookie recipe as soon as possible.

Needless to say, these cookies did not disappoint. I don’t think my family has ever devoured a batch of cookies so quickly. Granted I live with a bunch of hungry teenage boys…..but still.
I guess it’s because these cookies have so many things that cookies great–peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips and M&M’s, just to name a few.
And if you have certain dietary restrictions, there is no flour in this recipe, which makes them a perfect treat for your gluten free friends and family.
I like to make my monster cookies nice and big (hence the name). The end result is a softer, chewier cookie. If you prefer to make smaller cookies, I suggest using mini M&M’s and cutting down the baking time by a few minutes.
Everyone in my family (except me) prefers creamy peanut butter, so that’s what I use. Personally, I think these cookies would be amazing made with crunchy peanut butter though.
With a tall glass of cold milk, these cookies are pretty much the ultimate after school snack. At least that’s what my kids tell me. And let’s be honest, you’re never too old for an after school snack.
Honestly, just sitting here writing this post, I’m craving these monster cookies. I’ll probably have to go bake up a batch as soon as I’m done. Hope you love them as much as we do!
