Welcome to Let’s Dish Recipes!
I’m Danelle, a longtime home cook and food enthusiast and I have been posting my favorite recipes from my kitchen here since 2009. The recipes I share here are family-approved, easy-to-make recipes for busy home cooks! If you’re looking for quick weeknight meals, comfort food classics, and practical recipe ideas, you’re in the right place.

My Cooking Philosophy: Uptown Foodie Meets Real Life
A friend once described my food as “uptown foodie meets real life,” which sums up my approach perfectly—everyday cooking with a mix of gourmet. I love flavorful, well-balanced meals, but I also believe in keeping things simple. That means the type of recipes you will find here are:
- Recipes with short ingredient lists
- Meals that are quick and practical for families
- Classic dishes with a homemade touch
Some recipes here are my own original creations, while others are inspired by family traditions, handed-down recipes, and time-tested favorites. From my Grandma’s Banana Bread and Chocolate Fudge to modern takes on comfort food, every dish is designed to be doable, delicious, and family-approved.

Recipes That Are Tried & Tested by My Family
Every recipe on Let’s Dish Recipes has been tested (and loved!) by my husband and three sons. Some of them have even been tested by my amazing daughters-in-law! Over the years, my family has helped me brainstorm, cook, bake, and photograph many of the dishes you’ll find here.
One of my favorite things is watching my grown-up kids cook these same recipes in their own kitchens—and coming back home to make their favorites, like Slow Cooker Pork Chile Verde or Rolo Cookies.

What You’ll Find on Let’s Dish

Whether you’re looking for a last-minute dinner idea, a fun party recipe, or a nostalgic homemade favorite, I hope you find something to love here.
My Top 10 Favorite Recipes of All Time
You’ll find so many great recipes here, but if I HAD to pick my all time favorites, it would be these — in no particular order. Mostly because they’re associated with special family memories (and are also delicious and easy to make). These are the recipes my kids ask for when they come home.
- Slow Cooker Pork Chile Verde
- Rolo Cookies
- Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches
- Creamy Tuscan Ravioli Soup
- Mexican Street Corn
- Lemon Cheesecake Mousse
- Restaurant Style Mexican Rice
- Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake
- Best Butter Chicken
- Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip
A Little Bit More About Me
When I’m not in the kitchen, I love:
- Reading (especially historical fiction and cookbooks–I have an unquenched thirst of collecting cookbooks)
- Watching Star Wars, Marvel, and anything directed by Greta Gerwig
- Custom sneakers
- Collecting Funko Pop figures (my home office is filled with them)
- College football & ice hockey
- Peanut M&Ms
- Chocolate chip cookies
- French fries dipped in ranch dressing
I also love trying new restaurants and throwing themed parties.
I have a degree in Advertising from Brigham Young University, which I use to share my love for food, cooking, and connecting with home cooks like you.
On my blog, I’ll encourage you to visit the farmer’s market one day and share a recipe made with canned soup the next. I keep artisan vinegar in the pantry and a tub of Cool Whip in the freezer. Because that’s what “uptown foodie meets real life” is all about!

I always make your pesto roasted potatoes, but now I can’t find the recipe on your site? Will it be coming back? Thank you so much!

I had your best ever lemon bar recipe off Pinterest and it is now not on there. I just need the instructions on how to make the bars I have the ingredients. Please help making these in a couple of days. Thank you!

Help! I used to be subscribed to you but it stopped. I do not see any way of resubscribing. I followed the directions you gave above but no subscription box pops up, there is no question “Would you like to save this recipe?” on the recipe card, and the Rate, Print and Pin buttons work, but not the Save button. I’d like to keep getting your recipes regularly, so what do I do? Going to the link letsdishrecipes@gmail.com just sends me in a circle to where I started.

Elizabeth–checking on this, everything seems to be working properly here. I don’t know if there was an issue earlier, but things seem to be fine. I am getting the “Would you like to save this recipe?” prompt. The Save button is tied to something called a Grow account, which does let you save recipes from my site and others. If you have an account, it’s possible you got logged out? If not, you can easily create one after clicking on the Save button. Please let me know if you are still having issues.

Hi Danelle: The SAVE button still won’t do anything. Other bloggers have a Subscribe blank that you just put your email address in and you get regular postings. Do you have anything like that? It makes it so much easier. Thanks!
Danelle
Sorry about that. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m looking into it and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks for letting me know.
