CRANBERRY APPLE RED HOTS CIDER — Red Hots candies give this cranberry cider a burst of cinnamon flavor.

    Cranberry Apple Red Hots Cider

I love keeping a pot of warm cider simmering in the slow cooker on Christmas Eve. I’ve tried all kinds of different recipes over the years, and this easy Cranberry Apple Red Hots Cider is my family’s favorite holiday drink.

The secret is Red Hots candies. Not only do they add great hot cinnamon flavor, but they give this drink a beautiful red color that makes it perfect for the holidays.

The Red Hots just sort of melt into the juice, so by the time you serve this warm holiday beverage, it’s infused with lots of zippy cinnamon flavor.

If you’re worried about too much cinnamon, you can always cut back on the Red Hots, but one cup is perfect for my family.

But if you’re a fan of spicy treats like Hot Tamales, you may want to add even more Red Hots. It’s always best to start with less and add more to taste. Sometimes the Red Hots will leave a bit of residue floating on the top of your cider. If it bothers you, just skim it off with a fine mesh strainer.

You can always up the cinnamon flavor, but it’s harder to remove it one it’s there. To make each serving extra festive, add a handful of fresh cranberries to each glass.

My kids absolutely love this stuff, and it’s a fun twist on the usual hot cider recipes. And the best part is, it’s so easy. Just put everything in the slow cooker and set it to low.

It couldn’t be easier! Which makes this Cranberry Apple Red Hots Cider perfect for any holiday gathering. You’re going to love this fun and festive twist on a classic Christmas drink.

Be sure to save this Cranberry Apple Red Hots Cider recipe to your favorite Pinterest board for later.

When you think of apple cider, you probably think of fall. A warm sweet glass full of apples and spice that warms the body on a cool fall day and this delicious drink is where this miracle tonic gets its start. It begins life as apples that are pulverized to make cider.
