Cocktail meatballs are slow cooked in a sweet and tangy peach glaze in this easy, tasty recipe that makes a perfect appetizer or main dish.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
We have a tradition of serving appetizers on Christmas Eve, and every year there is usually some kind of meatball on the menu. This year, it’s going to be these Slow Cooker Peach Glazed Meatballs.
I first served these meatballs with hot cooked rice for dinner, and they went over so well, I knew they needed to make a repeat appearance during the holidays.
There are plenty of different variations on these slow cooked meatballs out there, made with grape jelly, cranberry sauce or some other fruity jam. Perhaps your family has it’s own favorite version of this recipe too?
I’d never seen a peach version before, and I couldn’t wait to try it. I’m so glad I did, because my family says of all the jelly and chili sauce meatball recipes I’ve tried, this one is their favorite.
When it comes to holiday entertaining, I love to rely on simple, slow cooker recipes like this one. First of all, using the slow cooker means the oven is available for other dishes.
And this is the kind of recipe where I can just throw everything in the slow cooker and forget about it while I go about preparing the rest of my holiday meal. In fact, I can even get my older kids to get these meatballs heating in the slow cooker. Might as well put everyone to work in the kitchen!
To make things even easier, I always opt for pre-cooked frozen meatballs, but you can absolutely make your meatballs from scratch. Just be sure to fully cook them before proceeding with this recipe.
Whether you serve these meatballs as an appetizer or a main dish, they are sure to be a hit with kids and adults. My family is already looking forward to enjoying them again on Christmas Eve!

What kind of chili sauce do you recommend?

I used Heinz and it balanced well with the other flavors.
