Weekly Meal Plan with a FREE Printable Menu Planner — This meal plan includes five quick dinner ideas, with suggestions for easy side dishes, plus ideas for stretching leftovers, and one dessert recipe to try this week.
Life is busy. But some weeks are busier than other’s–I’m looking at you, May and December.
Sometimes I don’t have time to make dinner, but sometimes, I don’t even have time to think about WHAT to make for dinner.
Why I Love Meal Planning
- Meal planning saves money — when I plan my meals and go to the grocery store with a list, I’m less likely to fill my cart with more expensive prepared foods, or items I don’t need or won’t use.
- Meal planning saves time — at the grocery store at least. It does require some time up front, but once you start shopping, you’ve already decided what to make, and don’t have to figure it out while your standing in the aisles of the supermarket.
- Meal planning saves your sanity — If you get tired of hearing “What’s for dinner” repeated multiple times every evening, meal planning will fix that! I actually place my weekly meal plan on a large magnetic board in my kitchen so everyone can see what’s being served that day.
Each of my 30 Minute Meal Plans includes five family friendly dinner ideas that are on the table in 30 minutes or less.
You’ll also find ideas for sides to go along with each meal, and one dessert recipe to try during the week. If you have time, of course.

Ideas for Using Leftovers
- Leftover Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Salmon: We love using leftover salmon to make tacos, like these Chile Lime Salmon Tacos.
- Leftover Creamy Frozen Vegetable Soup: You can change up leftovers of this simple soup by adding a protein, like cooked shredded chicken. Or just serve leftovers with fun toppings like bacon bits and French fried onions.
- Leftover Sesame Chicken: Chop up leftovers and use them to make fried rice. You could also throw leftovers into a simple soup (see above) or just add them to a hearty salad for a light lunch or dinner.
