March Madness Party Menu

We have a long-standing tradition among family and friends of filling out our brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament to see who can predict the eventual winner. Side note: it’s never me!

But I love to culminate our weeks of basketball watching mania with a casual get-together for the final game. A delicious selection of snacks and munchies are a must, and this round-up of recipes highlights some of our favorites.

But first, a few tips to help you enjoy the hoop-la on game day:

MARCH MADNESS ENTERTAINING TIPS

  • Focus on finger foods and small bites that are easy to eat anywhere, and plan to serve a variety of sweet and savory items. Try to offer at least one vegetarian and one gluten free option.
  • Use a large metal tub filled with ice to keep drinks cold, or just bring your cooler in from the garage.
  • Make sure you know how to watch or stream the game ahead of time. If you’ll have a large number of guests, show the game on multiple televisions if you can.
  • Disposable plates and napkins will make clean-up easy. Just make your garbage can and recycling bin are easy to find.
  • Transform familiar recipes into game day treats by changing up their color scheme. For example, these Sugar Cookie Bars can easily be made to match your favorite team’s colors.
  • Prep as much as you can ahead of time, and don’t do everything yourself! Ask guests to pitch in and bring their favorite game day snack or treat.
