Weekly Meal Plan with a FREE Printable Menu Planner — This meal plan includes five slow cooker dinner ideas, with suggestions for easy side dishes, plus ideas for stretching leftovers, and one dessert recipe to try this week.
If you love starting dinner early in the day–before that afternoon exhaustion sets in–then this Slow Cooker meal plan is for you.
I just love the convenience of the slow cooker. Whether I’ll be out working or running errands, or spending the day at home, I love to get dinner going early to ease the stress at dinner time.
Why I Love Meal Planning
- Meal planning saves money — when I plan my meals and go to the grocery store with a list, I’m less likely to fill my cart with more expensive prepared foods, or items I don’t need or won’t use.
- Meal planning saves time — at the grocery store at least. It does require some time up front, but once you start shopping, you’ve already decided what to make, and don’t have to figure it out while your standing in the aisles of the supermarket.
- Meal planning saves your sanity — If you get tired of hearing “What’s for dinner” repeated multiple times every evening, meal planning will fix that! I actually place my weekly meal plan on a large magnetic board in my kitchen so everyone can see what’s being served that day.
Even when life gets busy, if I can get something started in the slow cooker in the morning, we’re much less likely to get take-out and actually sit down to a healthy meal.
Each of my Slow Cooker Meal Plans includes five easy-to-prepare meals that take the guess work out of what to serve for dinner.
You’ll also find ideas for sides to go along with each meal, and one dessert recipe to try during the week. I’ll even try and include a slow cooker dessert recipe if I can.

Ideas for Using Leftovers
- Leftover Korean Beef: We love using leftovers to make tacos, or burritos, or to whip up some main dish worthy beef fried rice.
- Leftover Alfredo Sauce: There are so many possibilities for leftover Alfredo Sauce, but our favorite is a comforting pasta bake, like this Spicy Smoked Sausage Alfredo Bake.
- Leftover Cherry Cola Pulled Pork: Change things up and use this pulled pork in tacos or enchiladas. Or throw it into this Slow Cooker Southwest Pork Stew.
