This classic dessert, with a chocolate pudding filling and homemade whipped cream topping, is loved by kids and adults alike. And it’s so easy to make!

Easy Chocolate Pudding Pie

If there’s one dessert that takes me back to my childhood, it’s this Easy Chocolate Pudding Pie. Whether it’s served in a pie shell, or in individual dishes, chocolate pudding never gets old!

There are a few additions to this chocolate pie that make it extra special, like cream and a bit of extra cocoa powder for some extra chocolatey flavor.

But it’s more or less that wonderful dessert you remember, with a whole bunch of homemade whipped cream on top. I like to garnish my pie with a selection of fresh berries, but chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, or chocolate shavings work just as well.

And once you’ve got the crust made, the rest of the recipe requires no baking. So it’s perfect for hot afternoons, and for getting kids involved in the kitchen.

Trust me, you’re kitchen helpers will want to lick the bowl, so make sure you get a taste for yourself.

Easy Chocolate Pudding Pie

To make the pie making process even easier, just whip your cream in the same bowl you mixed the pudding in–no washing necessary.

You’ll end up with a very subtle chocolate whipped cream that looks beautiful and tastes delicious. I mean, who is going to say no to a bit of extra chocolate?

My family prefers a graham cracker crust, but this pie is equally tasty in a classic pie crust, so use whichever you prefer. But be sure to check out my awesome pie crust recipe if you go with a traditional pastry crust.

There’s a good chance you have all the ingredients for this recipe in your refrigerator and pantry right now, so why wait?

Whip up this Easy Chocolate Pudding Pie today! Believe me, you’re friends and family will be delighted, and they don’t need to know how easy it was!
