Sometimes I don’t have time to make dinner, but sometimes, I don’t even have time to think about WHAT to make for dinner. That’s when breakfast for dinner saves the day.
Why I Love Meal Planning
- Meal planning saves money — when I plan my meals and go to the grocery store with a list, I’m less likely to fill my cart with more expensive prepared foods, or items I don’t need or won’t use.
- Meal planning saves time — at the grocery store at least. It does require some time up front, but once you start shopping, you’ve already decided what to make, and don’t have to figure it out while your standing in the aisles of the supermarket.
- Meal planning saves your sanity — If you get tired of hearing “What’s for dinner” repeated multiple times every evening, meal planning will fix that! I actually place my weekly meal plan on a large magnetic board in my kitchen so everyone can see what’s being served that day.
A meal plan isn’t very effective if you don’t keep it someplace you can see it, so be sure to download my FREE printable meal planner before you get started.
While I can’t come and cook for you, or do your grocery shopping (because of being busy), I can give you some delicious breakfast for dinner ideas for those extra chaotic evenings.
Each of my Breakfast for Dinner Meal Plans includes five family friendly dinner ideas–including sweet treats like pancakes and waffles and crepes, or savory egg dishes, like quiche and breakfast casserole.
You’ll also find ideas for sides to go along with each meal, and one dessert recipe to try during the week. Cheers to breakfast for dinner!

Ideas for Using Leftovers
- Crepes: The possibilities are endless for leftover crepes. You can use them again to make something sweet, or something savory. Possible fillings include banana and Nutella, strawberry and chocolate, or savory shredded chicken.
- English muffins: If you have extra English muffins after making the breakfast pizzas, use them for a different version of mini pizzas the next day. Simply top them with marinara sauce, your favorite pizza toppings, and shredded cheese.
- Biscuits and Gravy: Biscuits can be turned into fun slider-style sandwiches, filled with ham and cheese, sausage and egg, or breaded chicken cutlets. You can serve leftover sausage gravy over baked potatoes, egg noodles, rice, or even toast.
